Force Dimension receives R&D 100 Award

Force Dimension, a world leader in high precision force-feedback interface design, and Novint Technologies, Inc. (NVNT), a pioneer of 3D touch for consumer computing, have received a 2007 “R&D 100 Award” for the Falcon haptic device and their 3D touch software.

Often referred to as the Oscars of Invention, this award is a result of R&D Magazine’s search for the 100 most technologically significant products introduced to the marketplace over the past year.

The Falcon is a new type of computer interface that brings sophisticated virtual touch and force feedback to computers, allowing users to feel a detailed sense of touch in their interactions. The Falcon represents a significant advancement in consumer controllers delivering commercial grade touch (haptic) technology to the home user.
